Hebrew Tidbit #9 – Hebrew and Aramaic

The two predominant languages of original writing for the Scriptures were Hebrew and Koine Greek.

However, Aramaic was also an original language but to certain parts of the biblical text (primarily Daniel and Ezra) and it is the Aramaic translation of the Scriptures that Christ was quoting in Mark 15:34 (“Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?”).
