Humanity has been attempting to save itself from itself since Adam and Eve sewed fig leaves together in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:7). Politics is merely another kind of fig leaf in that it can neither redress nor remedy what is humanity’s fundamental problem–sin in the heart.
